When entering Summer Intervention data on Screen 26, there is a new field 801,       SUMMER SCHOOL. You must enter a Y in this field for any student who will attend Summer Intervention. Also, you can print Summer Interven. rosters using this field.

Be sure all matriculants have a middle school LOCN code on Screen 13 by May 30 (download will occur at 5:00). Call SIS to get a sentence to find out if there are missing LOCN codes.

Follow the YEAR-END PROCEDURES listed in the April Newsletter to end the schoolyear on SIS. Access the April Newsletter on the ESIS website

Criteria to decide eligibility for Reclassification is being updated. Until the new memo comes out, the criteria we have been using since last school year is in effect. However, as soon as the new memo comes out, the criteria for redesignating will change.

MEMO M-31 Assessment & PLACEMENT FOR INTERVENTION PGM, DEVELOPING READERS & WRITERS (3-21-03) explains how to enter data on Screen 12 for 5th & 6th graders. Due in SIS by Monday, April 28, 5:00 p.m.

SESAC training has begun at the 5 LAUSD training sites. Many people who have signed up still haven't been notified about the scheduled date & time, and must wait till we call you. For those who haven't signed up yet, call us to fax you the sign-up form.

Schools who have received the LEXMARK T622 printer: it must remain ON, and should never be turned off !!

SCHOOLS  USING COMPUTERIZED REPORT CARDS:  If you are planning to print progress reports on the Lexmark T622 in the near future, please print a progress report (any student) to make sure this printer is operating correctly, ASAP. Please call us if you experience problems!!

CHANDA SMITH/SESAC TRAINING IS NOW AVAILABLE
: Call SIS for the sign-up form so you can attend this class at any of our 5 training sites. Continue to enter IWEN information into SIS as per the MEMO BT-64.

Transfer Data was captured for your matriculants this weekend, and is now in the process of being downloaded into middle schools' SIS.

Continue to enter SIS data for the SESAC REPORT (Screen 20, option 30). Memo BT-64 specifies the updated fields that must be correct in SIS.

Middle School location codes were entered for all your matriculants (Screen 13, field 192). Look for the February 2003 Newsletter that states how to get ready for transferring data to middle schools. Also, find REF GUIDE BT-21, ELEMENTARY
TRANSFER DATA TO MIDDLE SCHOOLS (2-3-03)
which also details what happens to your matriculants. Enter missing middle school locn codes for those with out them, on Screen 13, field 192.

Be sure test data has been entered in SIS by Monday, Mar 3 at:
          3-TRACK A & B SCHOOLS & 4-TRACK A,B & C SCHOOLS (CAT/6)

12/2/02   MEAL PROGRAM / MASTER PLAN / EIEP SURVEYS

SIS data must be complete by this Friday, Dec. 6 at 5:00 p.m. for the following surveys:

     1.  The Meal Program Eligibility Report ( Screen 20,  Option 29)

     2.  The Master Plan Program Survey (Screen 20, Option 3)

     3.  EIEP Survey (Screen 20, Option 14)

11/13/02    IWEN Screen Changes

The IWEN Screen (24) has some changes: You must now enter an employee # for the RSP student's teacher (field 468). Also, DIS services will be displayed & entered in a new format at the bottom of Screen 24. At this time, don't try to update the DIS services (old field 122) on this screen.

11/13/02   Master Plan

For new enrollees to be counted on the MASTER PLAN PGM SURVEY enter fields 91, 151, 162 on Screen 5 (per MEMO BT-12, July 24, 2002). Pay special attention to kindergarten students.

The meal pgm codes have been updated in your SIS based upon lunch applications. Continue to enter meal codes from new applications you receive.

All Special Ed data including dates found on Screen 24 must be complete: an RSP student can't have field 103 - Special Ed Class and vice-versa and all dates on this screen should be entered.
