This page will help you with the two important areas of testing for high school students. The first area covers the college admission tests, the SAT and the ACT exams. The second area covers the California High School Exit Exam, which all students graduating in 2004 and after must pass in order to receive a high school diploma.
Part of applying to college is taking college admission tests. Most four-year colleges require the SAT I or ACT. The University of California and some private schools require three SAT II subject tests as well. Check with your college counselor for the exams that are required for your college choices.
We recommend that students practice by taking the PSAT at their home high school in October of their sophomore and junior years.
