All documents presented (CBEST results, transcripts, diplomas/degrees) must be official.     District Test Required Candidate Credentials: District Proficiency I.A. Test CBEST without associate (or higher) degree, or 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) from a recognized college or university Exempt Must Take CBEST or former, regular LAUSD K-12 teacher with associate (or higher) degree, or 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) from a recognized college or university Exempt Exempt Associate degree or 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) from a recognized college or university Must Take* Exempt Bachelor (or higher) degree from a recognized U.S. college or university Exempt Exempt Bachelor or higher degree from a recognized college or university outside the U.S. Must Take* Exempt *Paraprofessionals hired on or before January 8, 2002, who are meeting the requirements with 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) or an associate (or higher) degree, are not required to take the District Proficiency Test. Note: All documents provided must be official. Additionally, name changes must be verified with an official marriage certificate or legal name change document. Degrees from outside the U.S. may be evaluated by an educational evaluation service approved by the District.
