Requirements for Paraprofessionals Hired On or Before January 8, 2002

Paraprofessionals hired before January 8, 2002 have until June 30, 2006 to meet the new requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.  All paraprofessionals must have a high school diploma or GED.  In addition, paraprofessionals hired on or before January 8, 2002 can meet the new requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 in one of the following ways:

District policy and the NCLBA requires all paraprofessionals must have a high school diploma or GED and are required to pass the District Proficiency Test.  In addition, paraprofessionals hired after January 8, 2002 can meet the new requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 in one of the following ways:
