625 REIMBURSEMENT OF CANDIDATES' TRAVEL EXPENSE



Education Code 44016



Whenever any person is requested by a school district to travel the headquarters of such district for the purpose of being interviewed and examined prior to possible employment, the district may reimburse such candidate for expenses necessarily incurred in traveling from his place of residence to the place of interview or examination.



In examinations for classes designated as executive/administrative in Rule 596 and for other classes when it is anticipated that the number of qualified applicants in metropolitan Los Angeles will be limited, the Board of Education and/or the Personnel Commission may provide for the full or partial reimbursement of travel expenses for candidates who are required to come to Los Angeles for the final portions of the examination. The general condition for reimbursement shall be announced in the examination bulletins for the classes.
