The U.S. Constitution Lesson Plan
Students will study the Preamble to
the United States Constitution and the Constitution
itself. Students will write a proposed constitution to
guide and cover the class for the rest of the year. A
competitive game will be used to reinforce
understanding about the powers of the federal and state
governments, the separation of powers, the checks and
balances, the election of Congress and the President,
the amendment process, the Bill of Rights, and other
Amendments.
