Funding Agency: The Wonder of Reading Organization
Purpose: The Wonder of Reading is a Los Angeles based non-profit organization dedicated to renovating public elementary school libraries, restocking their shelves and helping to improve the reading skills of children. 
Eligibility: The principal plays a vital role in the implementation of the library program. If the school wishes to apply for the program, the principal must call for an application.  To be eligible for the program,  the school must have the space necessary to renovate the library. Two connecting rooms, the size of classrooms, are needed to double the size of the library. While the library is under construction, the Wonder of Reading and the school work together to recruit volunteers to read to struggling readers.

Total Funds Available: The Wonder of Reading and the school split the cost of the program implementation.  The school will raise $20,000, and the organization will raise $25,000.  Of the $20,000 raised by the school, $10,000 will be used for rennovation and $10,000 will be used to restock the library.  These funds must be in place before applying for the program.  The Wonder of Reading will raise an additional $5,000 toward the ongoing implementation of the reading program.
