| Purpose: | The purpose of this grant is to help improve the quality of education for students in meteorology. |

| Total Funds Available: | Five or more grants will be awarded for a total potentially in excess of $2, 500. |
| Average Award: | Five or more awards of $500 each will be made. The teachers selected will be able to use the funds to take an accredited course in atmospheric sciences, attend a relevant workshop or conference, or purchase scientific materials or equipment for the classroom. Winners will be announced at the NWA Annual Meeting, October 20, 2004 at the DoubleTree Hotel Lloyd Center in Portland, Oregon. Awards will be sent to the selected teachers/schools soon thereafter. |
