Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to seek applications for the Initiative to Develop Education through Astronomy and Space Science (IDEAS) grant program, which provides funding for innovative start-up education projects that will enhance science education through astronomy and space science via astronomers/space scientists and education professionals.
Eligibility: Active collaborations between professional space scientists and professional educators must take place.  The proposal must indicate a principal investigator, who will take the lead in administering and guiding the project.  This may be either a professional space scientist currently employed by an US institution or a professional educator who has at least five years of experience and is currently employed by a K-12 institution.
