WHAT:
Project 10 is a program
of the Los Angeles Unified School District that offers technical and educational
support to schools for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT)
students. The mission of Project 10, in accordance with the District's
Nondiscrimination Policy and the California Student Safety and Violence
Prevention Act of 2000, is to ensure safe, supportive and welcoming campuses
free from discrimination and harassment for sexual minority youth.
WHY: The Los Angeles Unified School District is committed to providing a learning and working enviroment that is free of discrimination and harassment. Project 10 was established in 1988 to ensure that District policies and procedures protect the rights of students based on thier sexual orientation. |
