The Gray Squirrel has a long bushy tail with bands of
gray, white, and black. During the fall they hide nuts
for the winter months and bury each one individually.
They also eat pinenuts, acorns, and other nuts. At
Clear Creek the Gray Squirrel is often seen and also
heard. It makes a chattering "kuk-kuk" sound
while rapidly flicking its tail.
