Clear Creek Outdoor Education Center is located about 30-40 minutes from downtown Los Angeles in the Angeles National Forest above Glendale.  The Clear Creek facility is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and all staff are LAUSD employees.  We operate year-round, 7 days a week.  Our mission is to provide students the opportunity to learn about nature and science in a fun, hands-on way, in a safe environment.  At the same time, we hope to provide the opportunity for the personal and social growth of the students by presenting unique experiences in a unique educational setting.  The weekend program is designed for middle schools (high schools may also participate).  In addition to instructional hikes, students are able to participate in a group campfire, practice archery (bow and arrow), do crafts, explore our museum and more.  Meals are served in a comfortable dining hall and students sleep in heated cabins, supervised by the Clear Creek staff and the teachers from your child's school who have sponsored the trip.
