Since there may be several buses picking up children in the same area we recommend that before school starts, you and your child visit the assigned bus pickup location. Be sure your child knows the safest way to the exact location where the bus will stop.
To assure the safety of your child, you, or a designated adult, should be at your child's assigned bus stop daily when he/she is being picked up and dropped off at the end of the day.
When taking your child to the bus stop the first day of school, it is important to be at the pickup location five minutes early and to know the route number and name of this year's school so that your child will board the correct bus. Each bus has a sign located on the side of the bus to the left of the entrance door, or in the window, with the name of the school and route number. You and your child should become familiar with your bus driver, but be aware a different driver or bus may substitute when needed.
Also, District transportation may be provided for parents to attend special school functions. Please contact your child's school for specific information.
Thank you for your participation and best wishes for a successful school year.
