Effective
School Bus Driver Training Classes
Any driver who has not
completed the Effective School Bus Driver Training Class should enroll at
one of the locations listed below. Probationary and contract drivers are
required to complete the course within the first six (6) months of employment.
Failure of a driver to successfully complete a required course can be grounds
for termination.
Enrollment is on the first
day of the class at your regional training classroom. Please be on time
as enrollment is limited to 30 per class and enrollment will be handled
on a first-come, first-served basis (except for those drivers who signed
up on the waiting list at the beginning of the last class). Please check with your instructor
before the start of class for the availability of seating space in your area.

Classes
All renewal
classes for school bus certification will begin the week of
September 24, 2007. Please contact your assigned
Driver Trainer for location, time, and dates of classes. If your certificate
expires
within the next six months (Oct.-Feb.) you
should plan to attend this session with your assigned Driver Trainer.
You must attend the assigned class in your region. Remember, you must bring
your HPH 82.7 to class. A School Bus Drivers First Aid Handbook will be
made available for your use at class. Please be prompt to all scheduled
classes and remember you must attend a minimum of 20 hours state certified
classroom time for renewal training. You must successfully complete all
required training as determined by the Driver Trainer in charge of the
class. Bring an open mind and prepare to learn.
RENEWAL TRAINING ONLY, NO IN-SERVICE HOURS WILL BE
GIVEN, unless special permission is received
from assigned Driver Trainer for specific sessions.
