Helpful Information
Getting Started - New Employees If you are a new employee, come to this page to see how to get your SSO/EMAIL account activated. Other helpful hints can be found here.

Email Account forms - Non-employees:
These are applications to be used to request email and/or SSO accounts for non-LAUSD employees.

Note: Access to these forms are limited to District Employees or contractors who already have SSO accounts. New contractors should obtain this from their District contract administrator.

Some contractors, NPS, and NPA locations are on the new on-line system called EZ Access. Check there and see if your site is one of them. (Note: Site and contract administrators need to fill out an application in order to request your site be added.)

Email support for Cell phones:
Although ITD offers no live support for email setup on District cell phones, you can get instructions for some of the more common phones at the Telecommunications Cellular Phones page. Look for the section labeled: "PDA Operational Support". Also, for District phone support you can contact Verizon at 800 922-0204.

FYI: District settings for E-mail - Exchange enabled phones: the mail server is “mail.lausd.net”. For POP3 setup, the server for incoming mail is “mail.lausd.net”. The outgoing server depends on who is your cell phone carrier or Internet service provider.

For non-District phones, please contact your provider or cell phone manufacturer.

Guides - Student Accounts

Obtaining a New Student MyMail Account:
Student accounts are assigned and managed by sub-administrators located at each school site. Contact your school's office staff for information on who is your designated sub-administrator. (Note: Sub-administrators, please view the section below for more information relating to creating student accounts.)

Q: How do does my school designate a new sub-administrator
A: If your school does not have an email sub-administrator, or you feel additional sub-administrators are needed, then your principal can designate a school email sub-administrator. Please have the principal complete the following form:

Request for UserID Authorization - Email Sub-Administrator Account

The school email sub-administrator will receive a separate account (email sub-administrator account).
