Support for SSIS on Windows 7
Effective May 2, 2011
Secondary SIS will not be installed or supported on Windows 7 computers. SSIS is not fully compatible with the Windows 7 operating system. If SSIS is needed, the computer will need to be rolled back to Windows XP. If you need a machine rolled back, contact the ITD Help Desk and enter a service request. |
Important Information about Purchasing iPads
Wednesday, May 26, 2010
When purchasing products like the iPad that are new to the marketplace, purchasers should verify compatibility with desired applications to be used. Apple, Inc. has documented the limitations to various online Internet and web-based applications with respect to the iPad, particularly with third party media such as Adobe Flash and Sun/Oracle Java. The iPad has been tested with LAUSD school-based applications, such as ISIS, MyData, EESIS, and the Learning Zone, and compatibility issues were found where several key features were not functional (such as drop down boxes, flash videos, pop-ups, etc.).
We do not recommend that iPads be used as a business productivity tool at this time (for purposes such as taking attendance, posting grades, and using MyData). We will continue testing the iPad as well as emerging tablet technologies to verify compatibility with LAUSD applications. In addition, the 3G version of the iPad with AT&T service should not be purchased, as the District's cellular contract with LAUSD does not currently support this service.
We will post testing results here for new products as they become available on this page in the near future. |
