The Meeting Agenda

Regular meetings begin with the presentations from the Superintendent related to the transformation of the District into a high performing entity and instructional issues. The Board then takes up action on Old Business items which appeared at a previous meeting.

Items requiring Board action that are appearing fefore the Board for the first time are then taken up.

The next portion of the meeting is devoted to voting on motions and resolutions introduced by individual Board Members or the Superintendent. Most of these motions will have been introduced at previous meetings and may have already been reviewed by a subcommittee of Board Members.

The last portion of the meeting is for the introduction of motions by Board Members. Each motion, or resolution, may be assigned to a Board Committee for discussion. The Committee process allows Board Members and the public to become more aware of the issues in a less formal setting without time constraints. Committee meetings also allow for extensive community input. Many reports and other District business are first heard at a committee before being brought to the Board for formal introduction and action.

Meetings are concluded with the approval of previous meeting minutes and announcements of upcoming meetings.
