Management Structure
The Information Technology Division
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer is the head of the Information Technology Division, Chief Information Officer, Ms. Margaret Klee. Working for the Chief Information Officer is the Director of Strategic Planning who is responsible for the planning and execution for all Information Technology Division funded infrastructure related projects.
The Director of the Strategic Planning Branch established a Deputy Branch Director and three Program Managers, as illustrated below, to develop and carry out both the Information Technology and Library Measure K initiatives.
As shown above, each initiative has its own program management team to plan and direct efforts to meet distinctive requirements and needs. A third program management team coordinates all reporting, quality assurance, and accounting functions allowing the IT Division to reduce overhead costs. All policies, procedures, and support are centralized. The two separate Strategic Execution Plans are:
- Information Technology (IT) - Projects include the upgrades and new installations of telecommunications, Local Area Networks (LANs) and intrusion detection systems. Early Education Centers IT Strategic Plan is a component within the ITD Measure K IT Strategic Execution Plan.
- Library Services - Project includes the automation of school library systems and provision of new library books for schools in Phase 1 of new construction being completed by the Facilities Services Division (FSD).
This Strategic Execution Plan focuses on the IT Projects only.
