Current enrollment is 2326 students. It has been arranged to have two new positions for relief in Language Arts and Art.

The CSRD Grant of over $1,200,000 for school improvement is here. The budget committee will approve the final budget.

Unfortunately we have lost our referral room because of renorming.

Charlie Noyes informed us that the district has taken over the meal application process and SNAFU as usual. They were only in english and they are getting a low return rate. Title I at the school level has been called on to help. The good news is that Title I money can now be used for the entire student body, not just the eligible students.

Dino Stirpe and SBM commended Jessica Sanchez for her reading of Monday announcements. Volume issues will be addressed to prevent further eardrum breakage.

Ads are being sold for the homecoming program. Support from the faculty was requested. So, if you know any business owners or individuals who would like to purchase an ad please contact leadership. This year's program will be glossy with a color Court section.

After a discussion and fact finding mission worthy of an Abbott and Costello skit, it was agreed upon that the Pep Rally be held on Fri., Nov 8th, the day of the Homecoming Parade so as not to interfere with finals which are on Oct. 31 for pers. 1&4, and Nov. 1 for pers. 2&3.

Charlie Noyes suggested a committee be established to work with Mrs. Peru to wean students off of sodas before the ban. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dr. Wells informed us of the truancy policy-see attached. It puts a lot of responsibility on the parents. It's a state law so please follow the protocol.

As usual, a good time was had by all. The next meeting will be Oct. 8, 02.
