TITLE I Update: As of 12/7/2001 we have a bit over 65%
of our students eligible. That should be enough to continue
to receive Title I funds next year.
Leadership update: 500 tickets were sold for Homecoming.
A small profit was realized. Homecoming will be back at
the Autry next year.
The Winter Ball will be at Dodger Stadium in the Player's
Lounge (An appropriate name?). 300 people only, VHHS students
only will be able to purchase tickets at first.
Verdugo Day will be May 31 to celebrate the end of Stanford
9 testing. The Talent show will be March 22, just before
Spring Break.
No activities will be scheduled the last week of school,
June 17 - 21. Blood Drive will be January 24.
Detention:There will be 2 senior detention Saturdays.
One in January and one in March. Seniors will be able
get rid of lots of hours by working at VHHS.
VHHS Sports: Mr. Reinhart showed us the new banners going
up in the gym celebrating our team's league championships
through the years. Very impressive and easily the high
point of the meeting. Maybe we could spend a common planning
afternoon on this uncommon subject
The PA system: Available for emergencies. How do we want
it used? Talk to your department chairs. We will have
a dept. chair meeting in January to sort this out.
Next meeting will be December 10.
