Verdugo Hills donates $2,682 to Disaster Relief

Wednesday, October 10, 2001 — The Verdugo Hills High School community donated $2,682 to the Los Angeles Times/KTLA-5 Disaster Relief Fund for the New York relief efforts. It was chosen because $.50 was be matched for every dollar (for the first $5 million donated) and all administrative costs were absorbed so that 100% of our donation as well as the matching funds will go directly to and only to disaster relief agencies.

We are pleased to be part of an effort to galvanize our greater community and assist others across our nation. We, at Verdugo Hills High School, are especially interested in opportunities to teach young people about the world, how decisions affect them and how they can affect decisions.
