Principal and assistant principal retire.
June, 2006. After
many years of educational dedication and having led Verdugo
Hills in her principal command, Mrs. Cheryl Dellepiane is
retiring in June 2006.
Mrs. Dellepiane started
her educational career in Santa Monica. From there, she
increased her experience by working in Pacoima Junior High
School, Sylmar High School and Verdugo Hills. Before becoming
the principal of Verdugo, she taught home economics and
science. Additionally, she was a counselor, dean, APSSS
and assistant principal. She also held several coordinatorships
throughout the years.
Mr. R. David
(math teacher) wishes Mrs. Dellepiane a great retirement
with lots of vacation as he knows she like to travel. "However,
if she ever gets tired of traveling, she is always welcome
to come back and sub for me."
Mr. F. Saavedra
(also a math teacher) said it had been a pleasure working
with Mrs. Dellepiane. "She was a real leader for Verdugo
Hills. She will be greatly missed."
Mrs.
Dare Doolittle has served the Los Angeles Unified School
District for an impressive 52 years!!! She started working
for the District in September 1954. Her career spans Pacoima
Middle School, Sylmar High School, Sequoia Junior High (now
CES), Grant High School and since 1985 Verdugo Hills High
School. Mrs. Doolittle taught English, history, leadership
and was a counselor, college counselor and assistant principal.
She also holds 3 life teaching credentials. Yes, try to
keep up with this lady!
