Students Apparently Like Coming to School
School Board Honors VHHS Attendance
Tuesday, November 17, 1998 Verdugo Hills High School was honored by the Los Angeles Board of Education during a special session for having achieved one of the highest rates of attendance improvement of any school in the district for the 1997-98 academic year.
Accepting the trophy from District Superintendant Ruben Zacarias on behalf of Verdugo were Senior Class president Francesca Loy and Assistant Principal Hector Ornelas who, along with his dedicated staff in the Attendance Office, was directly responsible for the accomplishment.
