Friday, March 27, 2004 — “Taking School Home” is an innovative idea for communicating with parents and guardians of Verdugo Hills students. Using Title 1 funds, a series of videos has been produced covering the core curriculum. These videos are borrowed by students and taken home for viewing overnight or over the weekend. A survey goes home with each video to be completed by one or more adults. Six videos have been completed. All of the videos are fully translated to Spanish language version.

Five time Emmy winner Cliff Hoelscher edits and does the post-production work on the "Taking School Home" series
