Football Champions!

This football season, the mighty Dons are taking charge. This is the first league championship that they won in 25 years. The game was against Hollywood High School. The Dons have proven that they wanted this championship and they are now 5-0 in their league. This means that they are undefeated and they are not afraid to play some ball. This has got to be the greatest team ever.

Rob Fukuzaki and ABC 7 Sports have selected our varsity football coach, Darren FitzGerald, as an NFL high school coach of the week. This award honors those coaches who not only stand out because of their coaching on the field, but also for their efforts on behalf of the students, the school, and the community. In addition, the school will receive a $1,000 grant for the athletic department from the NFL.

Darren FitzGerald will be honored on the Sports Zone Show on December 5, 2005. The taping will take place at school on Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Our league championship team will be available in jerseys for the presentation, as well as our assistant coaches.
