Student Cabinet
Each semester the student body holds general elections for
its officers and representatives which constitute the Student
Cabinet. Commonly referred to as "Leadership,"
the student cabinet is responsible for overseeing the student
body fund and budget including receipts from the student
store and other campus activities, representation of the
school and student body at a variety of campus and off-campus
events, representing the student body at the school's Site-Based
Managment and LEARN committees, and for providing support
to various campus organizations and programs.
Student Cabinet sponsors a variety of campus
events including dances, Spirit Week, Homecoming, semi-annual
blood drives, and the Winter Ball. In addition, the organization
participates in or sponsors various community activities
including annual Christmas and Easter gift-giving projects
for underprivileged elementary school children and an annual
read-a-thon for first-graders.
George Powell
Student Body President 2005 - 2006
"Being a leader is not about
telling people what to do. It's showing and teaching people
to do the right, being a role model of higher standards
and knowledge. I take this responsibility with the goal
of improving our school and community."

David Johnson
Student Body President 2004 - 2005
"Leadership is about hard
work and being a leader. I did not join Leadership so I
could be cool or 'hip.' I am a naturally born leader and
being in Leadership only expands my leadership qualities.
I recommend Leadership to anyone willing to lead VHHS to
a better future. So leave your mark on Verdugo and join
Leadership."

Andrea Ramos
Student Body President 2003 - 2004
"Verdugo has wonderful acitivities
for its students, whether it be sports, clubs, or academics.
I encourage everyone to get involved by taking advantage
of these opportunities."
Andrew Dayao
Student Body President 2002 - 2003
"Leadership is not based
on proving your control over others for a common goal, but
more on your success in inspiring others towards that goal"

Nancy Hoang

Judith Estrada
