Youth Services AfterSchool Care The LAUSD Youth Services Program provides free, supervised afterschool care on the Topanga Elementary School upper playground from school closing time each day until 6 P.M. There is no charge for this program. The after-school playground is not, however a "child care" program and may be closed in the absence of the playground director. If this occurs, we will have to call you or someone on your emergency card to pick your child up. Arrangements for staying on the after-school playground are to be made before your child comes to school. Do not call the school office to make these arrangements with your child. We are not able to deliver messages during the instructional day. Topanga Star Topanga Star provides paid afterschool enrichment programs and supervised care until 6 P.M.
