School Nurse
Nurse Kwang Lee
I was born the first daughter , the second child in a happy
family, and grew up in Seoul, Korea. I have forgotten all those happy days
of my early childhood memories before the Korean War because of the traumatic
experience of the war that embedded in my bone, skin, and soul. During the
War, I lost my baby brother (he died from smallpox). I had all my basic
education to be a Registered Nurse in Seoul, Korea, and served as a Certified
Public Health Nurse and Registered Nurse.
When the first opportunity came to see the world, I grabbed
the chance and went to West Germany. For three years I stayed in West Germany,
learning the language and the culture, and at the same time working as a
Krankenschwester (Nurse).
I came to the United States in 1973. I obtained a Baccalaureate
Degree and School Nurse Credential from Cal. State University Northridge.
I worked as a Critical Care Nurse for many years in the Los Angeles area.
I started to work as a School Nurse at Sylvan Park Elementary School in
1997. I raised two wonderful daughters. I like to enjoy my leisure time
in nature, strolling at a park or going camping in National Parks and high
mountains.
