Assistant Principal
Lisa Dachs-Ornelas
My name is Lisa Dachs-Ornelas. I began my career with L.A.
Unified School District in 1988 as a bilingual T.A. Five years later, I
became a bilingual teacher at Osceola St. School. I taught for 9 years before
I became a Title 1 and Bilingual Coordinator. I promoted to Assistant Principal
here at Sylvan Park in August of 2003. I hope to one day become a school
Principal. Meanwhile I am enjoying my present position while learning so
much.
I am married and have two children, an 11 year old daughter
and a 10 year old son. I live in the Santa Clarita Valley. When I am not
working, I enjoy exercising, shopping, hosting parties at my house and looking
at cookbooks, hoping to someday find time to cook a gourmet meal.
My future dreams are to see my children graduate from college,
travel around the world, and make a difference in our schools.
