As of Fall of 1995, we are a
Los Angeles Educational Alliance for Restructuring Now - "LEARN School"

Nestle offers a strong developmentally appropriate Kindergarten program catering to various academic levels and needs by emphasizing creativity, free exploration and hands-on activities.

Nestle Avenue Faculty, always sensitive to the needs of our culturally diverse population, provides an exciting, challenging and enriching curriculum to prepare today's students for the 21st Century.

It is our goal to promote positive self-esteem in all students by offering strong differentiated curriculum in a nurturing environment where every child has an opportunity to succeed. We combine the best traditional teaching methods with contemporary approaches to problem-sovling, critical thinking skills and leadership training. Students build strong math and science foundation through enriching hands-on activities and visits from Mike's Math Club. Nestle Avenue students excel academically as demonstrated by recent CLAS test scores

Our goal is that every child succeed! One way of differentiating our program to meet the needs of each child at our school is our GATE program which has become a model for the LAUSD. There is a wealth of enrichment classes and grade level clusters for Nestle's unusually large number of identified gifted and high achieving students. We are very proud of this program.
