students to be academic achievers, effective communicators, lifelong learners and critical thinkers.

Expected School-Wide Learning Results (ESLRs)

Odyssey High School, in collaboration with school stakeholders, will prepare its students to become:

1. Academic Achievers who should:
   • meet or exceed the learning objectives of the California Content Standards as stated in each of the course contracts
     
   • use appropriate learning skills, tools, strategies and technology to achieve academically
     
2. Effective communicators who should:
• read and comprehend a variety of materials
  
• increase vocabulary and comprehension level
  
• present information in a clear manner
  
3. Lifelong Learners who should:
   
   • maintain an awareness of the importance of physical fitness and
     mental well-being and of the dangers of abusive substances and
     behaviors
     
   • have developed an appreciation of the visual and performing arts,
     supporting and participating in them
     
4. Critical thinkers who will use technology to
   
   • access, evaluate and analyze information
     
   • develop reports and presentations
