EETT Technology Grant Making a difference at our school

	United Teachers of Los Angeles President visits Mulholland UTLA president John Duffy, center, Jerry Strealy, UTLA Chapter Chair, right, and Dr. John White, principal, chat during Presidents Duffey's visit. The President talked with teachers during lunch on September 28, 2006 discussing union business and the present contract negotiations. Mulholland teachers expressed their concerns about salary and health benefits.
Ashley R. Award On September 23, Mark Haefele and Dr. Sharon Sekhon presented Mulholland Student, Ashley R, with her award in the photo / essay contest "Work in Southern California". The contest was held by the Studio for Southern California History. Ashley's picture was a collage taken at the Los Angeles Times book fair held at UCLA. Her essay expresses her appreciation of the work of various authors and her wish to some day become an author in her own right. She received a museum shirt, a book and a $250 check.

Parent / School Communication

• 2, 200 parents and students have activated their Edline accounts so they can monitor their grades as teachers post them.
• Twelve teachers maintain classroom websites so students and parents can stay up to date with classroom expectations 24/7.
• More then 1,400 students have activated their Epals email account with LAUSDnet.

• Presented their videos to poets and writers
• Had their videos recognized by poets on television and radio
• Presented their literary work at the local Apple  Computer Store.
• Won several awards for their digital photographic achievements
