Welcome to Monte Vista Elementary School! Monte Vista is a community. The staff at Monte Vista is energetic, hard working and creative. They work together as a team and are constantly sharing and learning. Our teachers participate in the extensive professional development opportunities that our district provides.  We believe that our parents are valuable partners and with their support we can achieve.  With the “whatever it takes our kids are worth it” attitude, everyone works together in the best interest of the children and this spirit can be seen throughout the school. Monte Vista is a great place to learn. The teachers spend a great deal of time getting to know each child to better meet their social and academic needs. Evidence of student work can be seen throughout the hallways and classrooms. All of our teachers are highly qualified based on current No Child Left Behind requirements.  With California Standards as our framework, we provide a Pre Kindergarten, second through fifth grade education based on high expectations for all children. Monte Vista is a safe place. Monte Vista School is a place that puts a smile on my face as I come to work every day. The children are enthusiastic and love to learn. Through the SOAR character-building program, our students are Safe, Outstanding, Accepting, and Responsible.
