Description of Program	Tobacco use is responsible for the deaths of more Californians than any other preventable cause of death and disease today. At Manual we Target current smokers and students most at risk for beginning to use tobacco. Offer or refer students to cessation classes for current smokers. Utilize existing anti-smoking resources, including local anti-smoking efforts by local lead agencies and competitive grant recipients.
Activities	Ongoing activities include Inviting guest speakers (i.e. a larengectomy patient) to share their experiences Conducting assemblies throughout the year, including plays and musical presentations, on TUPE. Dispay posters and materials aim at educating the student body on the dangers of smoking.
