The Good: A number of reluctant, low-achieving students actually encountered values such as self-discipline, perseverance, integrity and compassion through interesting stories and memorable biographical characters which they found on the Internet.
The Bad: For some topics chosen by students, there was a dearth of information.Consequently, several students were forced to make alternative selections--one somewhat less interesting to these disappointed students.
The Ugly: In one particular section of the Lab, the computers frequently malfunctioned--a frustrating experience for students seated in that area.
And The Next Time: Possibilities include e-mail and/or videoconferencing with actual personalities who agree to an interview session with students, or similar correspondence with writers who publish biographical features. |
