Evaluating the Project

Your primary evaluation tool is the rubric that you prepared in advance. A summery of the rubric scored by their classmates can also be included as part of the grade. Have the other teams fill out a rubric for each presenting team as the team presents.

Additional Evaluation tools:

• Award two grades each for milestone 2 through 4, one for content/quality and one for contribution.
  • You determine the quality grade giving the same grade to each member of the team for that phase of the project.
  • The contribution grade is an assessment of the contribution each member makes to each phase the project. It is determined for each individual by the rest of the team members.
• Each team will develop a quiz based on the information that they are presenting. The quiz is administered and graded by the presenting group.

Summery of grades for a project (8 teams presenting):

• 1 teachers rubric evaluation
• 1 summary peer rubric evaluation
• 3 content/quality grades
• 3 contribution grades
• 7 content quizzes

This process will give each student 15 grades for their project.
