How to Subscribe and Unsubscribe to
the Jefferson H.S. Listserv

The Jefferson H.S. listserv is a communication tool which is use to keep the staff posted regarding work related news and issues. The listserv will automatically send the same e-mail message to all the staff members who have subscribed.
Originally we had to manually subscribe each individual staff member to the school-wide e-mail list (listserv). This method is very time consuming. Now there is a way to automatically subscribe and unsubscribe yourself to the Jefferson listserv. The listerv is use to keep the staff posted regarding work related developments and issues. If you are no longer a member of the Jefferson H.S. staff, of course you want to unsubscribe, unless you want to keep up with what is happening at Jeff. For staff members who were originally subscribed under an AOL, Earthlink, ATT or other non-LAUSDnet account, switch over to your LAUSDnet account and use this account primarily for school business. For example unsubscribe your AOL account and subscribe your LAUSDnet account to the listserv. Remember that you can access your LAUSDnet e-mail through any computer that is connected to the web. So it does not matter what Internet Service Provider (ISP) you use at home, you can always access you LAUSDnet e-mail account at home, work, or on any computer with web access.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE JEFFERSON H.S. LISTSERV

First make sure you turn off these options in your e-mail software: attachments, signatures - this includes virtual cards, etc. that have been automatically configured in the e-mail software.
To subscribe to the listserv all you need to do is send an e-mail to...
list@lausd.k12.ca.us
In the body of the message type the following...
subscribe jefferson-hs-staff first_name last_name
EXAMPLE:
subscribe jefferson-hs-staff George Washington
It takes about ten minutes for the transaction to take place.
You will receive a confirmation message from the list server. Once you receive this message you can send a message to the listserv. Once you receive this message you can send a message to the list by sending an e-mail to...
