ANSWERS
- Windows or Macintosh computers will work
that have an Internet
connection and can run a 128 bit encrypted web browser such as Internet
Explorer 5.5, Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape 7.x and above, Opera,
and Safari. For example, a PC with Windows 95 and IE 5.5 will work with
the web browser based ISIS program, including LAUSD ePals email and the
Welligent IEP system.
- You need your LAUSD (ePals) account to log
in and access ISIS from the
network. You launch a web browser such as Mozilla, Netscape or Internet
Explorer. You access the ISIS web site. Log in with your LAUSD account.
Then your classes will be available once you are authenticated
as the teacher.
- You need to be able to: type in and access a
web address,
url, such as http://isis.lausd.net, navigate forwards and
backwards to pages, scroll up and down and sideways to get full views
of pages, save and submit each page, determine what is linked text and
symbols and what is not linked, enter data in a web page by checking
boxes, buttons, and typing in text boxes.
- Yes, you will need to log in with your
LAUSD account and record and submit attendance every period.
- LAUSD is working on the security features
so that you can log in using a non-LAUSDnet Internet Service such as
Earthlink, AOL, various DSL providers, cable access providers, and
other broadband providers. So you will be able to log in at home, from
libraries and from other businesses with Internet access and work
on your ISIS online grade book.
