The following training module covers computer networking fundamentals.
The emphasis is on the workstation, not the server. Most of the examples
are using Windows OS, but the Macintosh OS is covered too.
1-1 Workshop Description and Goals: Learn basic networking terms, concepts, and capabilities. Participants will be able to do basic maintenance and configuration of workstations, reset configuration when required, and troubleshoot basic network problems. Setup simple file and print sharing. Observe server-based file sharing and web-based cgi examples. Increase awareness of network backup, security, and bandwidth issues.
