Boys Basketball
2003 Season
The Jefferson Basketballers finished the regular season 18-10 and were seeded 6th in the City Division Championship game against Poly High, Saturday, Mach 6 at Loyola Marymount University. The Demos got out to an early 9-0 lead, but lost the game as Poly came from behind to win 59-53. Demo Eric L. scored a layup in the last 51 seconds to narrow the score to 57-53 after the Poly Parrots had taken the lead in the third quarter. But that was as close as Jefferson got as the No. 13-seeded Parrots from the San Fernando Valley went on to win.
The Demos can be proud of completing a winning season and reaching the City playoffs.
