2004 Season
Under the leadership of two starting seniors, Tina F. and Julie L.,
the girls basketball team finished the season with a 15-10 record. The
team earned a spot in the Los Angeles City Invitational
Championship. In a close game Saturday, March 6 the girls lost to
Gardena high school at the Los Angeles Sport Arena.
Congratulations to the Lady Democrats’ Girls Basketball Team for
making it to the championship game!! We also want to thank our coach,
Mr. Curtis Hughes and the entire coaching staff for a great season! The
entire Jefferson High School family is proud of our team!! Thank you
for your support!
Coach Hughes led the lady basketballers to the Los Angeles City
Championship title in 1993. Coach Hughes is also an alumni of Jefferson
High School.
