Thinking about college? It's never too early to do so. This is directed at juniors. The Questbridge program helps low income students by matches with colleges as well as many scholarship opportunities which will become available in February 2009. Some of the schools in partnership with them include: California Institute of Technology, Haverford College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Parsons The New School for Design, University of Pennsylvania, and Wesleyan University as new partners in 2008. Check it out!

Seniors - Ongoing Information About Events/Projects

A couple years ago the seniors began working on projects related to the problems the Dine'h in Arizona are currently facing as a part of their community service as well as in class assignments.  Since this is still an ongoing problem for these people, most of whom are elders, and to provide real life experience, more projects will arise on this topic throughout the semester.  At this link along with others I may give you throughout the year, current information about the Dine'h can be found at Black Mesa Indigenous Support and SENAA International. Also, there will be participation in some letter writing campaigns through Global Response Network.  The issues addressed by this network rainforest destruction, environmental racism, toxic waste exports, hazardous waste production, resource exploitation, indigenous rights, and air and water pollution issues, all being subjects of concern in the 21st century as well as those things that will shape and affect your lives in the future.
