Welcome to Ms. Hayes's home page. Here you will find course syllabi, assignments, student samples, and projects as this site grows.  Please visit the sidebar to navigate this page or the drop down menu at the bottom of this page to navigate to other pages on this site.

Internet projects are continually being developed. The present webquest project on ancient forests, developed for seniors, once used as an interdisciplinary assignment,  is considered a semester long project to complete all the components. Should you have any questions, comments, would like to report outdated links, or should desire permission to use parts or all of this site, contact Sara Hayes at shayes2@lausd.net, omitting "nospam" part from the email address.

One site that is good for all to have access is the Los Angeles Public Library.  One click and a wealth of information can be found.  You might also want to try the Los Angeles County Library or Library of Congress as well.

Some of the schools in partnershp with them include: California Institute of Technology, Haverford College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Parsons The New School for Design, University of Pennsylvania, and Wesleyan University as new partners in 2008. Check it out!
