Ancient Forests - Process

Blade McCullough

As a fifteen year veteran of Quinault Timber Company that has also employed your father, brothers, cousins, grandfathers, uncles and great uncles, you are unshakingly loyal. Quinault Timber Company has been the number one employer of Redwood, Oregon, your hometown, for four generations. The schools are successful thanks to the financial contributions from Quinault Timber and the town is so safe that you and your family never feel as if you need to lock your doors. It is truly the quaint, clean and friendly All-American, white picket-fences community.

Furthermore, you love the great outdoors and spend your weekends hiking, camping and hunting, so it really irks you when you and your colleagues at Company (Tree People) are labeled, anti- environment. "Why can't those d@!!9 environmentalists just leave us alone? If it weren't for the Old Growth trees our town would have withered away fifty years ago. All those d@!!9; city folk get on our backs about destroying the environment. D@!!9 hypocrites!!!"
