Since moving to Los Angeles, Mr. Lager, a 4th grade teacher, has come to consider himself nearly a native Californian who greatly enjoys teaching the diverse group of students in his Hyde Park Elementary classroom.  Encouraging them to develop their own special talents as they meet the challenges of our third grade curriculum reminds him of raising his now-grown sons.  All children, he believes, benefit from learning valuable social skills along with academics.  Mr. Lager spends his free time traveling with family and studying yoga so he can share what he discovers with his students.
Mrs. Hagan  is a multiple subject 5th grade teacher. She enjoys reading and watching children grow into life long learners. Especially when they have their “Aha!” moment when learning something new.
