On Saturday, January 17, 2009, Fair Avenue Elementary School Chorus performed at the Studio City Hand Carwash in Studio City, California. The was one of many Presidential Pre-Inaugural events throughout the US, celebrating the former President-Elect, Barak Obama. President Obama was inaugurated the following Tuesday, on January 20, 2009.

Fair Avenue School Chorus debuted the song, Si, Se Puede/Yes, We Can, in this public event and received a round of applause. Several celebraties were in attendance. The song, also called, "The Obama Song" was written by Fair Avenue School's Music Teacher, Mr. John Balbuena and Fair Avenue's Computer Lab instructor, Ms. Rebecca Phillips. Mr. Balbuena composed the music, which has a wonderfully "catchy" tune. It is unforgettable!
