Eshelman Library FAQ’s
- Our library is open five days a week during regular school hours.
- Every class in the school is scheduled for library use each week.
- Each student may check out two books per visit, and if a student finishes a book before the class returns for a regularly scheduled visit, then he or she may exchange their books during recess or lunch.
- In addition to learning basic library skills and borrowing books, students are exposed to literature, poetry, puppetry, finger plays, and songs.
- Students in the upper grades have the opportunity to learn research strategies and become familiar with the types of research materials available to them in public libraries and online.
- There are approximately eight thousand books in our library collection.
