About Our Library
On Friday, October 21, 2005, we opened a Wonder of Reading library here at Eshelman. Wonder of Reading is a non-profit organization which helps elementary schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District through the agenda of “Renovate, Re-stock, and Read”

The Wonder of Reading foundation helps a school to 1) build a new library (usually twice as large as the original one), 2) purchase new books, and 3) recruit adult volunteers from the community to read with selected students. For our Wonder of Reading library two classrooms in the North building were joined together. Add new ceilings and lighting, carpeting, shelving, paint, window treatments, a professional caliber circulation desk, and one thousand new books and Eshelman students, families, and staff now have access to a high quality library facility. If you have not yet seen our big, beautiful new library, please feel free to stop by for a visit.
