University Admissions

Earhart HS gets into four year colleges!!!

Amelia Earhart is proud to announce that two of our 2002 graduates have already completed their first semester at Cal State University, Northridge. Alfonso Ramirez and Jorge Reyes were admitted for the Spring, 2002, semester, after completing requirements for their high school diplomas at Amelia. Jorge and Alfonso are the 5th and 6th Earhart students to be accepted to four-year universities since 1999. Planning to attend CSULA and CSU Northridge in Fall, 2002 from the class of 2002, are Roberto Guzman, and Crystal Juarez.

SAT Prep

Thirty Earhart students have prepared for and taken the SAT exam since September, 1999. Financial Aid. This year, twenty students applied for Federal Financial Aid and Cal Grants for college and/or vocational schools. Most received notifications of awards. Thank you Mrs. Cunningham!!!!!

Community College/Concurrent Enrollment

We have an active Community College Program, which has helped our students prepare for college admission while earning high school credits. This semester, five of our students attend Valley College, and one attends Pierce. Twelve students completed community college classes during the fall semester. Fifty students have completed community college classes while attending Earhart since Fall, 1999. Several students are planning to attend Valley College Afternoon College Bridge during the summer.
