Other tips:
Press, hold, wait for green, shoot.
Use "Museum Mode" in low light no flash situations.
Use Whitebalance for outdoor, incadescent, and florescent photos.
Small memory cards are airport X-Ray OK
Digital Pictures have many details in Metadata including manufacturer.
Stitch together a a panorama - Panorama maker, Simply VR > QuickTime > Tech4Learning
Control depth of field - use portrait mode - blur background, reduce depth, focus on foreground with button down then include background.
Fillflash - use outdoors to fill shadows. Ex. at beach with direct light.
The faster the speed the more digital noise in the photo.
Lithium batteries last longer
