Support Unit South
Support Unit South staff provides support for the students with special needs, parents, teachers, and administrators throughout the Local 8 and 6 Districts. Support includes LRE servcies, student placement, Professional Development, IEP assistance, compliance help, and itinerant staffing. This site should not be considered as a sole source of support for schools and staff in Local Districts 6 and 8.

Free Immunizations at Harte Middle School and
Local 8 Offices

Free immunizations are being provided this Spring for children from infancy to 18 years of age at selected LAUSD sites and times by District Nursing Services. Various immunizations and tuberculosis skin testing are available for children to meet school entrance requirements.

The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services funds nearly 25 clinics that provide dental care to low-income families and the uninsured.
